  • Acclimation

    1. When you open the box remember your fish have been in the dark for about 24 hours and need time to adjust to the daylight.
    2. Float the bags for 15 mins inside their new tank.
    3. Cut the bag open, just under knot or rubber band and roll the topedge of the bag down one inch to create an air pocket within the lip of the bag. This will enable the bag to float on the surface of the water. add 1/4 cup of aquarium water to the shipping bag every 10min repeat 3 times.
    4. Use a net to gently catch the discus from the bag and release them into your aquarium Dispose of bag water, do not mix it with your aquarium water.
    5. Keep the lights o for 24hrs and let them settle in, sometimes fish lay flat on the bottom don’t worry it is normal this is due to the pressure inside the shipping bag being very little increase aeration give it time they will come around
    6. After 24hrs begin feeding
